More interesting facts about the Ideal Home Show!

1) In 1923 the Exhibition gardens were personally designed by six reigning European monarchs

2) The vacuum cleaner, sewing machine, iron, washing machine, refrigerator, split level cooker, dishwasher, electric mower, microwave, and the largest commercial plasma screen are among the products introduced at the Show over the century.

3) In 2009 James May (of TV’s Top Gear fame) set up a Plasticine boot camp for a day asking Show visitors to make flowers for his unusual entry of an entirely Plasticine garden to that year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show – the effort turned out to be worth the effort as he walked away with a special Plasticine Gold Award.
