With Summer (hopefully!) just around the corner, the main jobs to get on with around the home are outside. Our project on summer checks gives lots of pointers and advice.

Painting the exterior of a houseIt is the best time to do any exterior painting and decorating, and also to paint any external timber such as window frames and doors. If you need to repaint any external timber, make sure it is clean and rubbed down, and ensure you use a primer if you are back to the wood, followed by an undercoat and top coat suitable for external timber.

This time of year is also good for replacing any guttering and repainting facias and soffits. Also do a check on your brickwork and do any repointing that might be necessary.
