The Doctor Gets Better

Posted on July 12, 2012 by DIY Doctor

DIY Doctor is very pleased to announce an expansion programme which will allow us to cover even more areas in the home improvement field.

This expansion is taking the form of a new, subsidiary company called Home Improvement Doctor Ltd. The new company will overlay DIY Doctor which will remain the core member of the group.

As we have grown over the last 12 years we are working more closely with Trade Organisations and suppliers to the whole industry rather than just the DIY sector. We need therefore to make some changes in order to reflect the nature of the number of services offered by DIY Doctor.

These services extend into self build, home maintenance and repair, rebuilds, refurbishing, renovation and even information and advice on the Green Deal.

As part of our Home Improver Protection Solution we also hope to release a Trade Directory in the near future which will work only with insured and vetted Trades. We grow more and more tired (and frightened) of uninsured, untrained “handyman” type workers taking on projects which affect the UK housing stock in adverse ways.

As associate members of Trustmark and part of the National Home Improvement Council we are committed to doing everything we can to reach all areas of the Home Improvement market with solid, reliable and transparent help and advice. We will still be operating our Find a Tradesman service via TrustMark.

The move to Home Improvement Doctor will inform users and customers alike that there is very little indeed in the construction industry that we do not cover.

The website will remain the same and customers will not be asked to change accounts. The changes will allow us to present a different, more versatile face, to the excellent service you have all enjoyed thus far.

We look forward to your continued patronage so please let us know if there is anything we can do to help your home improvement tasks run more easily.
