DIY Doctor loves to give away prizes, and these can be tools and products, workwear or, as in last month’s Subscribe for a Prize, free tickets for a family of four to Diggerland.
Diggerland is, in our opinion, one of the best attractions for families in the UK. Adults and children (of any age) have a chance to ride, drive and operate real full-size construction machinery. Unlike many children’s activities children do not have to be 1.2m tall to go on the rides, they can be any age, they just have to be over 80cm. You can check out the Diggerland height guide here. This is all done in a safe environment and under the supervision of their trained staff – and no driving licence is required!
Diggerland is literally ground-breaking:
the perfect place to take your kids for an action packed family day out. . . whether it’s enjoying the view on Sky Shuttle, hanging tight on Spin Dizzy, or digging dirt with a 6 tonne digger, there is something for all ages!
The winner of a family Diggerland ticket was Amanda from South Norwood in London. She was delighted with the news that she had won:
This is fantastic news thank you so very much . . . made me smile.
Amanda can chose to take her family to Diggerland in any of their locations in England:
Diggerland Devon at Verbeer Manor, Willand, Cullompton, Devon EX15 2PE
Diggerland Yorkshire on Willowbridge Lane, Castleford, West Yorkshire WF10 5NW
Diggerland Kent at Medway Valley Leisure Park, Roman Way, Strood, Kent ME2 2NU
Diggerland Durham on the Riverside Industrial Estate, Langley Park, Durham DH7 9TT
Diggerland Devon also has a campsite and carp fishing facilities nearby, all the sites have disabled facilities and refreshment opportunities plus, you will be pleased to know, all the sites have helicopter landing facilities, but you will need to ring ahead to make sure you can use it!
DIY Doctor Day Out
To mark the celebration of this excellent prize we had a DIY Doctor day out to the Diggerland in Devon. It wasn’t our first trip there, and it definitely won’t be our last.
It was, obviously, a very hard day and our dedicated team, and their young helpers, worked their fingers to the bone, making sure that you would be able to drive your own diggers, by producing a series of Diggerland-inspired videos including: How to change a digger bucket, and How to Drive a Digger.
Please feel free to share your own digger driving experiences on one of our social media channels or if you visit Diggerland do contact us to let us know how you got on.
There will be more videos uploaded to our You Tube Channel as they leave the editing suite, so don’t forget to subscribe, then you will be notified as new videos arrive…
