Weekly Webinars – DIY and Building Help Online every Monday at 6pm

Posted on July 20, 2015 by DIY Doctor

This week marks the start of an exciting new project for DIY Doctor that we want to share with you. From tonight we will be starting a series of new weekly webinars at 6pm (GMT) every Monday, starting with “Working Successfully with Tradesmen”.

These webinars are designed to cover the topics that are most popular on our website, we listened to the feedback you send us via our forum and feedback pages on DIY Doctor’s website, and during stage appearances at home improvement shows.

Webinars are a great way to learn new things, they are like having an expert come to you home, and because they are interactive you get a chance to ask for advice on your particular problem or project.

DIY Doctor is going to be running free webinars every Monday evening at 6pm, on all sorts of topics, starting with How to Work Successfully with Tradesmen.

How DIY Doctor’s Webinars Work

OK, so a webinar is a seminar on the web, so you don’t need to go anywhere, the speaker comes to you via your computer.

The process is simple, just go to our webinar page, and register your interest. You can then just get on with your day, and we will remind you shortly before the webinar starts.

When the time comes you simply click the button and sign in. You will be able to see the presentation.

You will be invited to ask questions at the end, and the audience can share their experiences.

Working Successfully with Tradesmen

During the Working Successfully with Tradesmen webinar we will help you get your building project finished on time and in budget by working well with your builder or tradesman.

We share our insider knowledge on how to choose the right tradesman, avoid the cowboys, and prevent costly disputes.

Once you follow our advice to avoid the bad tradesmen and you find a good one, you need to know what questions to ask, and what boundaries to set before work starts. This means that you and your builder are working together on a project, not at odds with each other.

It is our belief that most tradesmen are reputable people who want to do a good job for their customers and that getting the best out of the relationship for tradesman and customer relies on clear and effective communication.

We know this is a very popular topic when we appear live at home improvement shows, and our find a tradesman area is one of our most popular sections on the site.

Have Your Say

There will be a webinar on a DIY or building subject each Monday evening at 6pm, so please put a reminder in your diary.

Next Monday the topic will be Repairs and Maintenance, which will start at 6pm 27 July.

Sign up for reminders using this link above and if you have any requests for a webinar topic then use our feedback form to give us your ideas.

One of the things that we always get lots of feedback about is videos. As a way of learning new skills video is one of the best ways to learn on the web, so we are committing to releasing more videos about the things you want to know.

Movie Mondays

We think we have something better to offer than some 2-for-1 ticket deal, free videos released via DIY Doctor’s You Tube channel every Monday afternoon at 5pm.

You told us that you prefer videos to be released at a regular time rather than on an ad hoc basis, so we have decided to start of the new timetable on Mondays, just before our evening webinars.

These will range from ‘How To’ videos, to product releases and reviews, and tips and tricks to share our industry knowledge with you. Subscribe to our channel to be notified as new videos come in – you can do this easily for our You Tube page, or when prompted during the videos. Subscribers to our You Tube channel, who are also signed up for our newsletter will be eligible or our monthly prize draw – Subscribe for a Prize, where you can win tools, products, and clothing for DIYers .

At DIY Doctor we believe Mondays should be more exciting and stimulating, so don’t feel that Mondays are the end of the weekend, think of them a great start to the fresh new week.
