0 Bar on Glow Worm boiler - yellow lever not working to top up?

Postby Vanderlust » Sat Oct 02, 2021 6:28 am

Old boiler broke earlier in the year and landlord had a new one installed.I can't really remember how I topped up before. Tried the yellow lever but nothing happens. Youtube videos on it say you need to release two levers first, but the model looks different to mine.

Do you guys who if I'm supposed to be loosening another lever, or maybe open the panel and do something? Thought I'd try here before trying the landlord, he usually takes his time replying and it's probably something super simple.

Oops, well since posting this I see it's nothing to do with the yellow valve!

There are three black valves under the boiler and this video looks similar to mine:

When I use the screwdriver to turn clockwise the two right hand side valves though nothing happens!

Found a black little valve tucked under what I think is called the filling loop. Put the other valves back to the way they were. It worked to fill the boiler pressure I think as the front panel changed from pressure to temperature (annoyingly as I couldn't see what bar it was).

It's now in some sort of startup sequence where it flashes from 0.9 to 1.2bar. How long should this last for anyone know?
