2-way light switch in bedroom

by alanr » Sun Nov 04, 2007 11:44 am

I am replacing a pull-switch over the bed (the main switch is by the door)

There are two wires from the ceiling into the pull switch - one with black red & earth, the other a single red.

The new fitting has earth plus three connections - L1, L2 and Com-L

Which takes which wires please?

Hi very old wiring method but most likely single red to Com. red& blk to L1 & L2, if in doubt look in wall switch. it should look similar, it is Live in to Com, 2 'strappers between switches & sw.Line to light from pull sw,
