55 degree mixing valve in central heating system

I have a 55 deg mixing valve in my CH system.
do i need it?
i dont have a combi system or a thermal store, there is a cylinder stat controlling DHW temp.
will the mixing valve stop my rads from getting hot so quick

If the mixing valve is limiting the temperature of your CH flow pipe to 55 deg it is throttling your heating system.
If it is in the hot water flow pipe leave well alone.
