I Would advise u get the the advice of a part electrician
to evalueate possible part P with the outside light u have
worked on. AS U STATE outside light.

I have spoken to an electrician on the phone and suggests you can not spur of a PIR wall light as it will damage the the sensor especially to a 500w spotlight,he suggests to have a spotlight with sensor wired in seperatly from the wall light.
