Adding 3 outside installations from House

Post by Tarcwin » Sat Jul 10, 2021 1:23 pm

Need to wire Garage (with internal ring, lights and outside light), Cabin (with ring, lights and outside light), Pond (pump, air at or UV filter) which is near the cabin. Would also like to run outside lights in Garden.

What is the best way to wire this. The garage is nearest the house. SWA cable exists between garage and cabin. Wiring to house needs upgrading to SWA. Diagram would be useful. Consumer unit in house has RCB to garage.

You cannot do this if you are not a competent electrician.
There are laws in the building regs to stop people doing this. It is called Part P
I afraid your going to have to get a spark to do this for you
See below…….

Part P aside, (chriscba is not wrong, if you are in England)
What size cable will you run? What is the supply type? How will you test the installation? There is more to an installation than "Just running a few wires" You need to be 100% sure that the installation is safe and will not cause a fire or worse still kill someone.
You really do need an electrician to design and install this for you.
