Adding bath mixer/shower to Potterton Puma combi boiler

Post by PTMD » Fri Feb 29, 2008 5:07 pm

The flow of hot water from the kitchen tap isn't fantastic can i put a bath shower mixer on to the system? What would i need if anything to increase the flow of hot water.

The puma has a filter in the cold water inlet, cleaning or replacing this will increase the flow rate.

No reason why a thermostatic mixer shower wouldn't work with a puma boiler.

Yes it should be a thermostatic mixer shower, for safety reasons.

I have just fitted s Mira Excel Bath Shower Thermostatic Mixer Shower in my house, and I would recommend it. It fits onto the bath like a mixer tap then a shower attachment comes off the top. It cost £360, well worth it.
