Adding external extensions/lighting

by ldoodle » Wed Mar 28, 2007 1:45 pm

Hi,

I have added extension sockets/light siwtches and fixings to a ring main (and properly as well!) on internal wiring, but not done external wiring.

Basically I want to put a weather-proof shed in the back garden for an extra fridge, freezer and tumble dryer, as well as a double weather-proof socket. I also want to add 4 or 5 walk-over lights into the decking (http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Main_Index/ ... index.html).

What is the best way to do this?

If it would be best to add a CU in the shed I will seek expert installation.

all your proposed work comes under part p of bldg regs and is illegal to do yourself unless you pay a large fee to building control before starting, cheeper to get sparky in the fines are rising.........
