I want to add a row of bricks to a retaining wall. The bricks would be just one row with them placed i their side. The existing retaining wall is painted and in a bit apprehensive about busking on top of that. Any advice please?
Hi martcol, If the top of the wall is painted you will need to remove the paint back to a masonry face or the top course will not bond properly. Regards S

Thanks for chipping in. What if I added some external PVA to the wall?
Hi martcol, PVA will not help. It looks like there is already a slab top on the wall so I don’t think adding a course on top will be successful. Suggest you find an alternative - how about oak railway sleepers? Regards S
