adjusting water level in a tank/cistern??

Post by stevehayes » Wed Feb 06, 2008 3:40 pm

anyone know any good tips or ways of adjusting the water level in a tank or toilet cistern easily and quickly? i know you have to turn the little nut on the float valve lever but is this a tricky little job or easy to do??!! I don't wanna end up letting my tank overflow!! thanks!

very easy. Just adjust a little at a time and you should be fine. If it has a metal arm just bend it slightly. If it has the nut you are talking about just loosen it and then adjust the screw.

If the level looks like getting too high simply pull up the float so the valve closes and then re-adjust, if you do it a bit at a time with no major adjustments you wont have any problems!
