hi, I have just moved into a property which has had a flat roof to pitched roof conversion at some point in its history. The old flat roof, complete with felt, is still in the loft. I am now decorating the property and want to do some things like moving light fixtures or changing to spot lights etc. Normally I would just pop in the loft and run the required wiring to the new locations. But there is a 'roof' in the way. How can I best go about getting access to the ceiling space under that roof. I'm wary of cutting holes for access as I don't know where the cables are routed. Is it best just to slice the whole old flat roof up and take it all out piece by piece?
