Advice on Decking Plan for Raised Decking

by Havenlad » Sun Apr 12, 2020 6:57 pm

Okay so basically I’m starting a partially raised deck in my garden ( raised just below a foot) and this is the plan I’ve come up with in the image.
Be using 2x6 joists and beams and was looking for pointers really, does it look like overkill? Too many posts? Not enough? It’ll be 4.8 x 3.6m roughly
I haven’t shown the noggins on the plan because it would be a bit crowded but they will be going in. This is my first raised deck so I’ve doubled up on joists where a post is, necessary?
Anyway thanks for looking in advance

Hi havenlad,
Don't waste time and money doubling joists on posts, otherwise fine.

Alright mate it’s an iPad app called magicplan, takes a bit of time getting used to but it’s free mate and serves a purpose
