Advice on Timber to use for Long L Shaped Desk

by JoDIYnewbie » Sat Jun 02, 2018 4:21 pm

Hi
I am building a long L shaped desk (approx 205cm one side, 140cm the other)
Any suggestions on what timber I should use to make the top? Don’t want to use MDF. Need something that will be strong enough to not sag but also not going to break the bank. Intending to have storage cupboard at each end of the desk, baton on walls to help support top and supporting upright timber at the corner of the L shape.

Would 25mm thick plywood do the job? Any other suggestions? Thanks.
