After filling in holes in plasterboard how do you get the textured look when the painting?

Post by Vinniehaz » Tue Apr 07, 2020 3:43 pm

Afternoon,

I am currently re decorating a bedroom and have had to fill in multiple holes using polyfilla and have then sanded and smoothed these down. My question is how do you gain that textured look like before otherwise a smooth surface will stand out significantly.

I am very inexperienced in this so it probably seems a silly question

Hi vinniehaz,
Depends what you mean by texture - you can achieve an orange peel texture using a roller but you may have to experiment with different rollers and paints.
