Air in water system???

by Cummo » Mon Oct 19, 2009 2:17 pm

Hello

New to this forum (and plumbing)

From looking at your pages i seem to have an indirect cylinder hot water system. My problem is this although the water heats up well i can hear air bubbling up inside the water pipes (almost as if there were no water inside). There is a little valve with a screw on the pipe and when i open it a small gush of air comes out momentarily then the valve slams shut. How can i rid the system of this air?

Is this on the cold or hot water pipe?
