Air Noise When Water is Being Heated

by Jamys » Fri Oct 25, 2019 4:37 pm

Brief config: I have a boiler in the kitchen, and a hot water cylinder in the airing cupboard, and an open-vent to the tank in the loft.
When the boiler comes on in the afternoon to heat the water there is a lot of noise that I "assume" is air, which causes a pipe to make a noise somewhere between the boiler and the cylinder.
How do I get rid of this air?
What can I do to reduce this noise.
Appreciate your thoughts.
