All radiators not working except for one

by Mark J » Mon Oct 26, 2009 8:02 am

Hi, need some help if you can

At my mum's all her radiators are not working except for one, the bathroom one.
I've searched the net and i cant find a matching example of this, if one goes it says to check the TVR, not sure what this is or where it is.
Does this go for me in this situation?
Any ideas?

Cheers Mark

It is likely the bathroom rad?towel rail is on the hot water circuit which used to be common thing to do.
You have a problem with the heating system, which could be many things from programme / time switch, control motorised valve, pump etc.
I am sure if you give a clue to the system in place someone will help,
IE type of boiler, how many motorised valves and thermostats, hot water tank , pump etc.
give us a clue, & we will return the favour...
regards

Same problem here

by casper77 » Tue Nov 17, 2009 7:11 pm

Hi Mark,

I stumbled upon this page because I am facing the same problem - the bathroom towel rail heater is the only one working.

Hot water works fine but the rest of central heating isn't.
anywhere.

When the thermostat is adjusted, the boiler does not respond either.

I got an engineer coming in tomorrow and may be able to tell you about what went wrong with my central heating system

Turned out to be a stuck valve which always stick to the hot water side only..
