Aqualisa cartridge problems

Post by AnnW » Thu Jul 05, 2007 6:47 pm

We have a gravity fed shower -mixed with an aqualisa 600 unit which started dripping - we ordered a replacement cartridge and fitted it as instructed. Unfortunately the shower will now only work with the mixer lever turned to full - any attempt to add in cold water cuts off the hot. We cant get cold water out of it at all. The cold tap in the sink next to the shower works fine.
Any ideas please?

I suggest you contact Aqualisa. They are usually most helpful.

hi ann
When you fitted the new cartridge did you match up the moon shape on the back of the cartridge to the moon shape on the body of the valve? this moon shape is where the cold water enters the cartridge. The valve is shutting down as a safety feature so as not to scold anybody. If you lose either the hot or the cold the cartridge should stop all flow. I used to be a service agent for aqualisa.
