Are my BTU Calculations for Replacing Old Radiators Accurate?

by Davearia » Fri Jul 21, 2017 10:03 am

Hi,

I'm replacing my old radiators in my house and wanted to know if the following calculations are accurate. The length and width of rooms are in metres and the height of the rooms is about 2.4 metres. Required BTU is what I have calculated from using this https://www.bathstore.com/btu_calculator?_$ja=tsid:%7ccid:811653802%7cagid:48833064424%7ctid:aud-357790688807:dsa-295317350131%7ccrid:192575435700%7cnw:g%7crnd:17338753018655723373%7cdvc:c%7cadp:1t1&gclid=Cj0KEQjwwLHLBRDEq9DQxK2I_p8BEiQA3UDVDt2g3kUVn26D-IOoD8qhUB7lfuSlMlwiEiiNjEb_NnwaAmHj8P8HAQ&gclsrc=aw.ds and Actual BTU is the BTU of the radiator I have picked for this room.

Room Length Width Required BTU Actual BTU
Lounge 5 4 8400 9391
Dining Room 3.7 3 4662 6152
D/S Toilet 2 2 1680 2442
Hall 2 2.8 2352 3662
Bedroom 1 5 4 8400 10610
Bedroom 2 5 2.8 5880 7324
Bedroom 3 3.6 2.8 4082 6104
Landing 2.1 4 3528 4797

Thanks,

Dave.
