Back bolier and programmer probs... help plz

by simonandjane » Sat Oct 18, 2008 4:30 pm

Hi all

Just started having probs with the back boiler. Got a drayton lifestyle LP241 model and a baxi bermuda 57/4e back boiler.

Problem... When you switch on the heating switch on the programmer, back boiler does nothing, no heat. When you switch on the water, it's ok. So, tried switching BOTH on and a few radiators heat up, all upstairs, downstairs are cold. Water still heats up.

Basically we've got no proper heating! Fire works fine, gas is coming through fine.

Any help pleeeease?
Thanks.

If the room stat is calling for heat then it's the pump at fault, if the pump doesn't run you will get warm radiators upstairs but downstairs will never heat up.

You may be able to free pump - if not it needs replacing.
