Bath mixer tap dripping

by R.Kondapalli » Mon Mar 23, 2020 8:33 pm

I have a old bath mixer tap(Victorian?) that's dripping cold water. I think a washer/ceramic valve to be replaced? I took the top knob off and removed the underlying screw. But, the tap wont come off. Any help is appreciated. I have the photo of the tap. Thanks, Chris

Hi RK.
These 3 hole taps can be really difficult to not only repair but also to get right in the first place. You may need to get under the bath deck and dissemble the tap so you can service it.
Probably better to call in a D&D. If it turns out that the whole lot need replacing go for a 4 hole tap.
Regards S.
