Bath Mixer Tap Only Delivers Hot Water for Short Time? Drainage and wastage systems and plumbing help, advice and answers

Hi,
Any idea why our bath mixer tap will only deliver really hot water for less than a minute, then go warm. We have a separate shower cubicle in the bathroom and the mixer tap delivers great pressure and temperature. Likewise all other hot water taps in the home. We have a combi boiler that is regularly serviced.
To be honest we've left this problem for a year or so and reverted to the shower !
By the way, the bath mixer tap is one of those ornate types from B&Q with a shower hose attachment.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ian

As you say that all other taps and shower work OK, then the problem is not with the boiler. It must be a tap defect. The only thing to do is to take apart, and examine the mechanism.
