Bath tap problem

by michaelwright » Sun Jan 16, 2011 9:55 am

:D Hi, ...over the past few years the water from my hot tap in my bath has slowly dribbled to a stop!

Directly after the bath was fitted the water pressure was normal from hot tap.
Over a period of 3-5 years it has reduced to nothing, with one period lasting 2-3 months last year were water flow was again normal.

Now not even a drip!

All other taps in the flat are working well.
Can anybody help please? :o

Probably just a washer, turn off water, drain tank if necessary, remove tap head/handle undo gland nut and remove - change washer and refit.

There could also be a plastic insert in the spout of the tap, this can sometimes become blocked - pop it out using a screwdriver and clean.
