Bathroom extractor fan ducting exiting near boiler vent

Postby openboater » Fri Nov 26, 2021 4:40 pm

Hi all,
need to install a new fan and duct to help bathroom ventilation. Best place for fan will make an easy straight duct run to an outside wall but this will take outlet close to boiler outlet and contravene regs. Is it possible and allowable to place a downward bend on the outside wall and duct straight down so that the outlet will be the necessary distance below the boiler outlet.
I can only route duct horizontally straight to wall as otherwise either the boiler service access,or solar panel controls, would be compromised.
Many thanks, John
