bathroom fan serious draught problems

by vickygw » Mon Nov 19, 2007 10:59 am

We have a 'vent axia' style (no brand on it that I can see) through the wall fan for a bathroom with an air operated louvre vent on the externals - the problem being that we live next to a lot of fields and every time there is a gust of wind (frequently) the louvres open and a galloping gale comes through the fan making the bathroom and adjoining rooms freezing - so - is there a fan/vent combo (for a very small loo but fitted with a shower) where the louvre vents are either powered or are designed to stop the air getting in (although obviously not it getting out when the fan is in operation)?

thanks

Certainly, Vent Axia do several fans with electrical shutters, where the shutter only opens when the fan is running. Your local electrical wholesaler is bound to stock one.
