Bathrrom suites

by Newps » Wed Jul 23, 2008 2:37 pm

I have seen that you can buy a bathroom, suite for as little as £189 from some well know DIY places.

Its probably obvious but what problems can buying a cheap suite cause, is it just the colour fades or could i have more serious problems with cracks in the bath/leaks etc?.

Many thanks

For the bath itself you'd need to check on the materials used and how thick/thin they are.....
Also the ceramic may be a little thin and chip easily and I've had a wc pan from a certain B~~~store that had a nicely hidden hole in the moulding where water was able to pour out. Not nice.

I got my Armitage Shanks Sandringham suite for £120 so an unbranded chinese one for £189 isnt a good deal.

Deals can be had. Admitedly I had to pay an extra £30 for the 4 taps, but £150 for a branded suite can be achieved.
