Baxi 105E - Repair Question

by superted_22 » Mon Nov 26, 2007 8:13 pm

I have a Baxi 105E combi boiler, in a recently purchased new house.

After running it a few times and discovering that it kept loosing pressure, i think i have found a small leak from it, on the actual boiler itself

After consulting the Installation guide i believe it is coming from behind the burner and suspect that it could be coming from the bottom of the expansion vessel!!

Dose anybody know if this is a common problem, and is it repairable in anyway?

Any guidance would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Yes this is a common problem expansion vessels it is quite straight forward to replace, i would suggest you get a qualified plumber to fit it for you hope this helps

The 'plumber' will have to be CORGI registered as to replace the expansion vessel the boiler has to be taken off the wall. The same size external pressure vessel can be fitted elsewhere on the system.

sorry - fitting a expansion vessel elsewhere will not help if it's leaking
