baxi bahama 100 combi

by moggs » Fri Oct 03, 2008 1:36 pm

hi, can anyone please advise ??
i've got a baxi bahama 100 combi . the expansion tank was split , so i've changed it , and recharged it to the 1 bar pressure as stated in the manual .
previously , the domestic hot tap(s) flow was fair , but the water was very hot . now , the flow is fast , but the water is much cooler , even with the boiler temp set "flat-out".
i've changed the filter cartridge ( 3- way valve) and any other filters i can find , + various other bits and pieces , and still its no better .
would it help if i reduced the expansion tank bar pressure slightly ? , as
the problem only started when the tank was changed .
i would like to ( if poss) keep the boiler running for a couple of years yet ,
so any advice is welcome , except throw it in a skip ...thats plan B !!
thanks

Expansion vessel wont affect hot water, try reducing the flow rate at the tap, the slower the water goes through the boiler the hotter it will get.

Maybe the cold water isolation valve on the boiler was slightly closed so the flow rate was reduced - with the expansion vessel being changed maybe the isolation valve was knocked or adjusted.
