We just moved into a property, and the boiler seems to have an external system (expansion vessel?) attached to an old cupboard next to the boiler. During the boiler service I was told that it was fitted without a 2-way valve and could easily go wrong, is there a way of getting rid of this without replacing the boiler? If not, is it safe to just move the vessel, as we want to take out the cupboard it's attached to.
Any advice is really appreciated, the boiler bloke didn't seem to want to go near it.
