BOILER ISSUES

by Newman264 » Mon Jul 28, 2008 11:41 am

I have recently drained down my bungalow central heating system to reposition the bathroom radiator.

I have refilled the system and succesfully bled the radiators.

When the boiler is programmed to start, the jets ignite but after a period of about 15 seconds the safety cut out shuts the boiler down.

I have checked the header tank, and this is full.

Does the boiler need bleeding? and if yes, how is this done.
The boiler is a standrd British Gas replacement.

Try venting the pump, also check near the tank/cylinder for any manual air vents.
