Boiler problems?

Post by davidc » Tue Feb 19, 2008 6:17 pm

I'm getting a loud boom sound from my boiler about every 5mins which blows itself out, then restarts, and it's driving me mad!!

Someone told me it was limescale so I bought some stuff from B&Q and followed the instructions, that was Sunday and it's still doing it!!

The pump seems to be nice and free and today I took the day off work and gave the boiler a general clean/service, but it's still the same?

Can someone please help me, it's doing my head in now!! :(

You need to get this checked - could be the water in the boiler - but could also be a build up of gas. A dirty pilot or blocked injector etc. Could also be that the gas is coming through at too high of a rate for ignition.
