bonding to services

by murphy » Wed May 14, 2008 6:42 pm

Hi. I have noticed that my house has no Equipotential bonding to the water. The supply enters the house in plastic ,then after the stoptap is copper. Could this be the reason its not bonded?

Cheers Murphy.

Simple answer No
It internal pipes are plastic except for where seen which is common then yes no need to bond but if all copper internal then yes should be bonded.
The reason is should someone drop something in the sink down stairs it could electrocute someone upstairs in the bath.
