Bosch Greenstar Junior 28 PRV Leak

Post by jkam » Fri Dec 08, 2017 9:25 pm

Bosch Greenstar Jnr. 28
2 bedroom semi & 5 large rads.
I used my PRV and now it's leaking.(as they do)
I had incorrect Expansion Vessel pressure adjustment problems which caused 5-6 events near the 3 bar and loss of water.
This was over a year ago & I didn't add inhibitor knowing it would be lost. Thing is, the loss of water hardly registers on the dial.
Is the EV compensating or what?
I drained a jar of water from the lowest rad. and it looks pretty clear.
In a forum it was cited that the Bosch engineers drill the rivets out of the frame to gain access to the PVR - feasible?
Also is adding an extra inline PVR rather than replace a viable option.
If so, what type & connector options
But, in series - Could that lead to a chance of 6 bar & danger?
Thanks
