I recently fitted new door handles on an internal door and it's gone a bit wrong. The door in question is a hollow core door. The handles were completely knackered and needed replacing. Once removed, the old handles left big holes which needed filling. I filled them with multipurpose filler and I wasn't intending to drill into them, but unfortunately the new handles screw positions meant I had to. Unfortunately the screws haven't held. One handle has had to come off and the other one is on the verge!
I'm sure I'm made a completely amateur mistake here, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!
