The "Yale" type key to my garage door snapped off as I locked it shut and there is no other way into the garage other than through the now firmly locked "up and over" door.
Has anyone got any ideas as to how I might be able to retrieve the snapped off bit from inside the lock or, alternatively, how I might be able get the lock off from the outside to replace it, or even ANY other ideas to enable me to get into the garage!!!?
Use superglue to stick a small piece of metal on to the end of the broken piece of key. When dry it should be strong enough to pull the key out provided you have been careful and not slopped the glue everywhere and glued the key in to the lock!
