Broken Plastic Plug Prong Stuck in Socket

Post by evie808 » Mon Oct 29, 2018 11:40 am

The plastic prong has broken off the plug for my cordless phone base and stuck in the socket. I can still plug the two prongs in to that socket with the bit stuck in it and it works but I’m not sure if it’s safe? Can anyone confirm if it is safe or not? Thanks.

It is NOT safe since it means anyone can poke anything into the live part and potentially receive a fatal electric shock.
For the price of a new twin socket (<£3) I would change it.
