Building up concrete floor

Hi all, Im looking to build up an existing concrete floor with more concrete to a hight of 12mm (the height of the plywood next to it) do i need to treat the existing concrete with anything before i lay this thin layer? Cheers in advance.

Scoie,
Use a self-levelling compound with latex in it and damp the floor before you apply the SLC.
