I sharpen chisels on 400, 800 1000 get bur. continuing on 2000 3000 5000 not getting a bur does this indicate its as sharp as it gets? they do end up sharp. all on 30 deg tip to lessen sharpening time. Use Wet & sry auto paper, sometimes Cheap diamond plates,coarse fine super fine each producing burs. Followed by stroping on leather with appropriate paste.Might give auto chrome paste a try.
