burst low pressure hot water

by landlady » Sun Mar 01, 2009 2:56 am

I have open vent indirect heating. Had problems with hot water low pressure. If I opened all hot and cold water taps on full, after 2 minutes water started to splash and burst and then , when stopped it , the pressure become perfect. Next day - low pressure. Why? No problems with cold water. Someone adviced shower pump. I have installed it . The pump is working only when the heating and hot water is on ( I can not afford all day working boiler). But when pump is not working it is WORSE then before. Hot water from cylinder is leaking or even the tap is dry. It is very difficult for me. What I can do to have
everyday water - I do not really need power shower but some hot water
in shower at all. I do not like new pump as well cause it is extremally noisy.
It is next problem. Any solution ?

landlady,
Sounds like you have an airlock in the pipe from the cold water tank to the hot water cylinder. This needs eliminating before you do anything else.
