C. Heating Operation Help ...

by Galacticos » Wed Oct 29, 2008 12:28 pm

Hi,

I've recently moved into my flat and I'm unsure how to operate the central heating system through the boiler. I can get hot water through the taps fine and set this up using the progammer. But when I turn on the central heating there is no change in the radiators. Maybe they've been emptied of water, I don't know, but the flat was empty before I moved in.

There is a 'feed water' valve and when I open this water is flowing and the gauge pressure increases to around 3.5 before I turn the tap off. But in the manual, which is limited, it's advised that the pressure should notexceed 2.5 bar.

By the way my boiler is a 'Powermax 155x'.

Your help would be greatly appreciated, as I need the radiators and its getting cold!

Hi,

You mean release any air from the radiators? What can I do once this is done?

The thermostat is turned up, yes.

Thanks
