Can Security Light be Triggered by 2 Pir Sensors - Wiring Ideas

Hi.i am new to forum.we have security light fitted outside with separate pir sensor.can this spot light be trigered from two pir sensors on different locations.if so how to to wire the second pir.diagram be more helpfull.thanks.

Yes some PIR units can be run in parallel but not all. You need to read the instructions on your unit.

Some PIR's are designed so they can replace the light switch and have no neutral and use the lamp as the return and also some use thyristors and these will have problems used in parallel so clearly it does need careful selection.

You could use relays but again some need a minimum amount of current. There have been problems where LED lamps are used because of the low current the LED's use and the same would apply to a relay.
