I have tried to replace an old ceiling light in our bathroom. When I put the switch the fuse back on the light comes on, but if I then switch off the light at the switch the fuse blows. I understand from other searches that I have probably wired the switch off so when I think I am switching it off I am actually switching it on. Either way it still blows the fuse.
I've seen other people ask the same question but their set up is different so I have made a diagram to show the current wiring, can someone please point me to the right direction on how to resolve?
Switch line and neutral mixed up, seen it so many times, I was thrown of the forum once for trying to help someone to sort out the wires, so this time it's up to some one else.
Glad it has been sorted, and yes the replies were never deleted. Not looked at web site in years, know it exists and have from time to time linked to pictures but I thought most of it was about photography and beer brewing?
I got quite into java script at one time and wrote pages which would calculate but in the main they are local pages just for me, I did publish some but in the main that was to work a slide show.
Today facebook can do slide shows so much easier than my web pages I have given up with them.
