Ceiling rose cables too short

by creekybones » Thu Nov 05, 2009 8:56 pm

Hi all,
I have bought a ceiling fan for my daughters bedroom (Don't say, wrong time of year I know)!
Anyway the cables are too short to connect to the fan, so what is the recommended course of action? Do I put a junction box up in the loft & just run a longer cable in?

Cheers

Creeky

The same happened to me, go up the loft & unclip the lighting cables, most sparkies will leave a bit of extra length of cable to pull down.
