central heating expansion tank

Post by Neil Stanley » Thu Mar 27, 2008 5:28 pm

Hi
I have run across the unexpected whilst changing and moving my central heating expansion tank. Cold supply and expansion pipe are one and the same. Is this a problem

Nitro is correct -

Do you mean the cold supply to the from the tank to the cylinder ?
or the mains cold supply to the tank ?

NEIL,

DO YOU MEAN THE COLD FEED PIPE FROM THE BASE OF THE F&E TANK?

IT IS NEVER SATISFACTORY TO COMBINE THE VENT AND COLD FEED.

OLD FASHIONED METHOD AND NOW CONSIDERED "BAD PRACTICE."

ALDA.
