Central heating header tank overflowing

Post by Zzzz9999 » Sun Jul 17, 2022 4:24 pm

Hi, very recently noticed water dripping from CH header tank in the loft. It's not continuously doing it all day so I'm assuming it may not simply be a dodgy ball cock/valve. It seems to be when boiler comes on to heat the water and stops shortly after it switches off. Could it be due to the very hot weather we've been having and hot water expanding back up into it? I may turn down temperature on boiler.

Hi zzzz9999,
Most likely cause is that the ball valve in the CH header tank is out of adjustment or letting by, either way fit a new valve.
Regards S
