central heating header tank

Central heating & hot water working O.K -but header tank for heating water getting hot--tank over filling & occassional slight overflow

Could be pumping over, check pump speed and try it on a lower setting.

Tried pump on no.2 setting[previously on no.3]--header tank still hot,& 2 rads cold.
Lifted header tank 30 inch on advice from local plumber.This appears to have cured the problem--cannot under stand why fault occured -installation is 4 years old.Now back to nomal--thanks for post it was appreciated,
